For World ALL Day 2025, Know ALL spoke to Coralie Hykes, Know ALL Ambassador and previously a patient with ALL. We asked, What side effects can you expect during treatment for ALL, what impact might they have on daily life, and how can you manage them?

During this interview, Coralie reflected on the side effects experienced during treatment for ALL. Fatigue, weight loss, digestive issues, changes in taste, and hair loss had a significant impact on daily life, often requiring adjustments to daily routines and support from family, friends, and the care team. Coralie highlighted the importance of rest, listening to your body, and working closely with doctors to manage side effects. Supportive care strategies, such as adjusting diet, also played an important role in recovery. Throughout treatment, staying informed, being open about symptoms, and setting personal goals helped maintain motivation. Coralie encouraged others to advocate for themselves and seek support when needed.
